"A Rendezvous With Shadows" |
From The Poetry Collection Of Susan Jane Kahon |
I have a rendezvous with sultry shadows Dancing in the days of Spring, so fair.. I see the shadows, both night and day When the scent of blossoms fill the air.. The shadows make me close my eyes They make me take you by the hand... And they pull us through the darkness Leading us both, to fertile land The roses bloom, on slopes of rolling hills When the meadow flowers..first appear They chase the shadows back to the past.. When Spring comes around, each year Yet, I still seek these fleeting shadows.. For deep within them, I can be with you I'm clinging to the moments.....dark When each touch becomes brand new Pillows of silk, and scented down.. The shadows know our secrets, deep.. Pulse to pulse... and breath to breath Our love throbs in blissful sleep That's what the shadows bring to me And my word pledged to you is true I'll seek you ....and the shadows out.. The meaning of this poem is that in Shadows we have other identities that carry us into a fantasy of what we need and want in life.In this poem, Spring and Shadows walk hand in hand amongst all lovers. |
