"Don't Break My Heart"
My poem is from the woman's viewpoint. All women love a bit differently than men. Women emotionally take their hearts into love and men surrender completely. So who's heart is stronger in love?
Neither one. They are equally susceptible and tender.
From The Poetry Collection of Susan Jane Kahon
Don't break my heart...
Let me keep the love that I treasure..
I don't want to hurt that bad
Stay by my side...forever...

You told me that you loved me
My heart, Lord.. it really fell fast
I found you, and I kept you
You promised, this love..it would last

The sounds of the night
They echo in my soul's flame
The gates are open wide
And I'm still calling out your name

So don't break my heart
For if you leave you'll be taking my smile
I'll still be seeking the sunshine
Although , it may take awhile

I'll still love you..
Even though the darkest days are starting
So easily, the thoughts inside of me
Are the gifts from you, imparting

Hopelessly, deeper and deeper..the tears
Much deeper than ever, yet
My soul mate never falls from grace
But how much deeper can my falling get?

Be still, my throbbing heart
For tomorrow brings no fear
I'll trust in God to mend my soul
And dry away the tears

The stars, they float
So endlessly across the milky way
The moon shines on my heart
That's begging you to stay
