Stu writes most of his music...I was intrigued by a song called "Pretty Lady" because I was in that mood today.I was asked to pick a favorite song, and this is it for me.it portrays the vulnerability of a woman, and a man who can see through it, to touch her heart through the tears. |

From The Poetry Collection Of Susan Jane Kahon |
Well, I'm just a woman, and I don't ever want to cry But when I'm in love, my eyes are never dry Empty arms, will make me feel my pain And I suffer heartache until I'm in his arms again I can't undo the knots, from heartstrings that we tie And I'm trying to understand if silence tells me lies.. Do I show my emotions, when you walk in the room? How did you know, that I needed you that soon? Well I will paint my canvas, if only black and white And I'll tell my stories, forever, I will write Tears I've shed, are tears from my own heart... It breaks me in two, whenever we're apart A woman in love, will expose her inner eyes She will open up....and let the feelings fly A woman in love, her soul is ever new She gives her love to him, pledging to be true Under the covers, at night I call your name Wondering if you, are going through the same I feel the walls, falling all around But I know it's just night's shadows coming down I'm just a pretty lady, you know, I'm not a myth.. I just want my baby, that's my fondest wish Your memory captivates and enslaves my body deep So awaken me, my prince, from my endangered sleep written by Susan Jane Kahon February 18, 2003 ICU 8:35pm Recovered: Sept. 18th, 2023 Some Links & Counters may no longer be Active! |
