"A Lover And Friend" |
From The Poetry Collection Of Susan Jane Kahon |
A good friend is like an army.. Rough, and strong, when times are tough.. But a friend who's also a lover, Is much more than enough... Then your friend, is like good music That haunts the naked ear... Playing life's sweet melody.. Whenever, he is near... And he can be an angel, too... Not just a lover, and a friend He can sprout his wings each day.. And cupid's arrows, send........ These tales of him, I write... Are simply endless in their part For when a friends is also a lover He rules the chambers of the heart.. Bright, and bold, and true... Passion blossoms, in his sweet kiss.. It puts me in another world.. A world, where he'll be missed.. If ever he does choose a path That takes him far away from me.. I'll chase him down, and bring him back To the earth, the wind, the fire..the sea... And since he chooses loving me Rather than the friendship, that we own I'd say God had a hand in it For we weren't meant to be alone My lover...and my friend...he is... The best of love, we've known, today... For his is the bed of passion In which I choose to stay.. written by Susan Jane Kahon March 21 2003 ICYU 7:31pm Recovered: Nov. 8th, 2023 Some Links & Counters may no longer be Active! |
