"A Mother's Prayer" |
Many times, my Mother prayed That in my life, I would be saved She'd touch my precious, tiny feet She'd sooth my brow in fevered sleep She'd ask the Lord, "Oh Lord, This day... Don't take my loving child away Years have come and years have gone Lord, be there, to carry on.." Mama's gone, but in her place Is God's forgiving, saving grace.. I still see her face as she did cry "Protect my child, be in her eyes.. So she can see Your guiding light Oh Jesus, come to her tonight..." Then she did go to Heaven's door She joined the Mother's heavenly choir And Jesus came into my soul Answered prayers, the blessings flow I miss her so, yet now I see The endless hope of eternity Happy Mother's Day S.J.
