"As The Tide rolls In.." |
From The Poetry Collection Of Susan Jane Kahon |
At the end of the day, love.. With the tide rolling in I stand alone in the sea.. Holding thoughts of you within... My feet, soaking wet.. The sand between my toes.. Wishing for your sweet love.. Wondering if you really know... That I end my day with you Standing here with sleepy eyes The salt air smells so sweet And my heart has butterflies.. As the tide rolls in.. The rain is falling fast.... The lightning dare not strike me For the old sins of the past I love this ecstacy.. And it has no taste of wrong.. I'm getting closer to your love Begging for your warm, sweet song I love the water, now... As it rolls around my naked feet I'm reaching out to you With the thunder in my heartbeat Are you unsure of the water? I'll put my heart out on the line.. Wishing I could claim this dream Of knowing you'll be mine Dare you come and meet me? At the ebbing of this tide? This vison I can show to you.. Two lovers..side by side...
