Rosemary Clooney Tribute Song |
This is a little memorial page to Rosemary Clooney who died on June 29th ,2002. Rosemary had a very remarkable jazzy voice and was very popular in her day. I always loved this song because it represented fantasy, starry infatuation, yet reality is there lurking behind the scenes. |

I'd Rather Love And Be A Fool" |
From The Poetry Collection Of susan Jane Kahon |
The stars in my eyes may dim If I couldn't have your love tonight May the heavens shine upon me With their wonderful delight If all the powers be at hand And I had a single celestial thought Nothing could replace your love Not even, magic.. bought.. May the stars stay in my eyes Through trials and tribulations deep I want some sweet wish granted me If only, in my sleep I'd turn into a puppy dog The magic wand would now transform So I could follow you around And keep you safe and warm And if I had a genie Who would grant me wishes three I'd wish for you, and love, and life All three wishes ..just for me Without the vison I possess I'd never be able to see your face So let the stars shine where they may Let thoughts of evil be erased I'd rather love and be a fool Even though I would soon realize That sometimes stardust fills the air But sometimes stardust fills the eyes I'm not so blind, that I can't see Im rich in my imagination So I conjure up my dreams of you With total, starry fascination written by Susan Jane Kahon September 3 2002 ICU!!!! 9:47PM CDT Recovered: Nov. 17th, 2023 Some Links & Counters may no longer be Active! |
