| Lucinda Williams was born in Lake Charles, LA. on January 26,1953. Her father was Miller Williams, a literature professor and published poet who passed on not only his love for the language, but also of Delta Blues and Hank Williams. Her first album was at Malaco Studios in Jackson, Mississippi. She is rather a major talent in songwriting, and somewhat late in getting the respect and attention of the general public, partly because of her perfectionism. Nanci Griffith, was the daughter of musical parents, and she spent her childhood involved with theatre and literature as well as music. She got her big break after moving to Nashville, in 1986. She signed with MCA and released her major-label debut, "Lone Star State Of Mind" in 1987. Here, tonight, together in a duet of this old classic song On The Wings Of A Dove" are Lucinda Williams, and Nanci Griffith. Both folk-style storyteller vocalists. Please enjoy this lovely song. | Under the mist of heaven's clouds.. Paradise was lingering, in her mind.. Her hair, flowing, amidst the stars.. Her own reflection, did she find... Love came on angel wings of white... To tell her of God's greatest story... Clouds of white satin, sands of gold.. She basks in His Infinite glory... Her eyes search the heavens on high.. And upward, her gaze is cast..
