Nightfall is coming, light is getting dim
She dreams of all the days gone by...
She sits quietly, thinking about him
As the stars in heaven,.. see her cry...
Little crystal teardrops fall upon her dress
Her eyes are getting filled so fast
Angels seek to give her some rest
And relief from mem'ries of the past
She wonders why she's sad..It's her reality
She searches for his image in her mind
Sometime's love's a bittersweet fatality
And she wonders why fate is unkind..
A kiss, gently wakes her from her dream
As she feels strong arms touch her again
Turning toward him, hands upon his skin
She asks him, "Darling, where've you been?
He said "I followed love, and it took me here
For I've strayed from right and wrong
But the saddest tears locked in your eyes
Made me come back, where I belong"
