Larry Boone was born in Cooper City, Florida on June 7. 1956. He set off for Nashville in 1981, after financing a stint at Florida Atlantic University with singing gigs in local Florida honky tonks. At first, Music City was unkind to to the young singer/songwriter. Boone hustled on the city streets, substitute taught, and even worked as a sportswriter before landing a songwriting gig with MTM. In 1985, Marie Osmond charted with the song "Until I Fall In Love Again", and the exposure led to more of his songs finding singers. Nashville nice guy John Conlee would even perform Boone's "American Faces" on NBC during the 1988 Olympic Games. In 1986 Boone signed with Mercury Records as a solo artist, but his initial singles didn't make that much noise. Nevertheless the label launched his full length debut in 1988, hoping to chip off some success from the formulas made famous by Garth Brooks and Clint Black.? Neither Boone or his album reached that level of fame or success and he became known for his songwriting skills. Here is one of his most beautiful songs, called "Moon Over Georgia." Please enjoy this page for tonight. |
"Lunar Love" |
From The Poetry Collection Of Susan Jane Kahon |
The moon was but a sliver of gold Just two long nights ago Now I see her laughing smile As she turns her face to go Her color turn from gold, to blue And sometimes turns to stone Her shimmering glow lives on and on Like nothing, I have known She knows of love..for all who see Kiss under her strong light The universe, dances with the stars To celebtate the waiting night Waxing and waning with the tide there still are no regrets For the moon embraces you and I And our love, does not forget That the brightest moon can even pale Yet we ride the wind to capture The essence of her shadowed dance That brings our love to rapture written by Susan J Kahon 2003 ICYU 5:16pm Recovered: Sept. 5th, 2023 Some links & counters may no longer be Active! |
