"Desire..." |
Like many country superstars, Kenny Rogers came from humble beginnings. Born in Houston, TX, Rogers and his seven siblings were raised in one of the poorest sections of town. Nevertheless, he progressed through high school, while learning to play guitar and the fiddle. It took several tries before Kenny Rogers became a star. As a member of The First Edition, and The New Christy Minstrels before that, he shared in some million sellers, among them "Reuben James". and "Ruby, Don't Take Your Love to Town", a song about a disabled veteran. Having gone solo in 1976 Rogers charted with "Love Lifted Me". But it was an outstanding song written by Roger Bowling and Hal Bynum "Lucille" that his star shot upward. The rest is history...And that's just the musical side of Kenny Rogers. In 1980 he starred in a made for TV movie "The Gambler", and then "Coward Of the County".Even throughout the nineties, when he rarely charted...his name, face, music were recognizable in a series of concerts, television specials, films, and even fast food commercials. Kenney and his wife Wanda just became the parents of twin boys recently. Please enjoy this song by Kenny Rogers called "Morning Desire", one of my favorites. Please sign the guestbook if you have some time to do so. God Bless All. |
"I Awake This Morning..." |
I awake this morning, with so much love for you The sun is shining despite the morning dew The look of love upon your glowing face Is a picture captured, in my mind's embrace I look into your eyes, my surroundings disappear Nothing matters but your whispers in my ear Our bodies begin an early morning dance To capture the spell of our own, sweet romance I want to feed this hunger that I yearn I want to feel the friction, and the burn The early morning sun, begins to softly shine As our bodies blend, and our souls fully combine This need for each other is our own silent sin As drops of passion fall upon our skin The fever of the night, transcends into the day And our love is complete, in each and every way written by Susan Jane Kahon July 8, 2004 ICYU 10:53am Recovered: May 2, 2024 Some Links & Counters may no longer be Active!
