| Kathryn Dawn Lang, born November 20, 1961 in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. She, as a youth formed a band called "The Reclines" named for singer Patsy Cline. In 1985 she received the Juno award for "Most Promising Female Vocalist" and the following year signed with Sire Records., She is all about smashing borders and defying expectations. From the very beginning, her newfangled country caused a hubbub in Nashville as she unapologetically channelled Patsy Cline in David Bowie's clothing. Anthony Dominick Bennedetto was born in Queens, New York in 1926. From an early age Bennett worked on his musical craft. As a teenager Bennett waited tables and practiced his singing. During WW II Bennett sang in military bands entertaining the troops in Europe. His training took place at the American Theatre Wing School. Bob Hope encouraged Tony to change his name to Tony Bennett. Here is Tony Bennett teamed up with K.D. Lang in one of the songs from their jazz and contemporary album, which won a Grammy Award.
