"Two Hearts" |
From The Poetry collection of Susan Jane Kahon |
A Heart alone, it will contemplate A heart alone, it will search for it's own mate A Heart alone, makes a single, lonely beat So quiet, so soft, yet so imcomplete.. It searches for a heart, that may be out of place.. Looking to find a secret, open space To creep on in, although it may take many years It will find another, who's overcome many tears.. Then, together they will make, sounds before never heard.. Together they will mimic, all rare singing birds.. Two hearts, they beat, within one another.. For the search is over, they've found that lover... Those two hearts, they beat together, in time.. Thumping so hard, with no reason, or rhyme.. And as their sounds fade into the night They now know one another, and it feels, oh, so right... Each heart must find, it's own tenderness For without love, there's just nothing blessed.. In this lifetime, each heart must become whole By finding a heart, that blends with one's own soul That dream, that lies within a lover's heart Can withstand any distance, when love is apart.. It's the start of a journey, where both shall be Two hearts reflecting love, for all eternity And this heart of mine, I know it has found you.. No matter what I say, no matter what I do I know you're the one, I've been searching for.. I give my heart to you, it's yours...forevermore.. written by Susan J.
