James Marvell is pictured above at the center of the pop group "Mercy". Their million seller "Love Can Make You Happy" was followed by another Billboard chart breaker "Forever" released on Warner Brothers Records in 1969. Now after three decades Marvell is joined by his wife Faye on a new recording of this love song, written by Buddy Killen and produced by Don Powell of Sun Records. "Forever" is once again topping the charts, crossing over on both the country and national gospel charts!
Special credits for harmony vocals:Lois Johnson and Sudie Calloway."Thanks Susan, for creating this beautiful page"

"Love's Newest Star.."
From The Poetry Collection of Susan Jane Kahon
Love has the world, she clings to this earth
The hills and the trees, are love's rebirth...
It keeps love safe, it keeps hatred out
And Satan's path, it tries to reroute....

In snow or sand, I turn to see...
That with such a love, I'm so glad to be...
Part of this earth, and I've left my trace
Straining to be in love's warm embrace..

The fiery bird, I see his plume...
He flies past the sun, to God's warm room
While here I stay, my love in thrall....
I simply exist,, and possess it all.....

Through love's beauty, I retrace my flight..
And bask in strange, interstellar light...
My hands and heart, are with you, still...
For forever, my darling, if it's your will...

Fused together, we have become one...
Flying past love's torch, the burning sun...
Two winds have met, and a tornado forms
As I lay, trembling ,deep in your arms...

We've made ourselves a planet apart..
Where only love can fill up the heart
We play hide and seek with God from afar
Seeking a home, on love's newest star...
