IN MISTS OF WINTRY CHILL
AND FROSTY WINDOWPANES
A CHRISTMAS TREE GLOWS FAITHFULLY
AMIDST THE WINDS OF CHANGE

THE WOMAN SHEDS A SILVERED TEAR
A CANDLE , BY HER BEDSIDE BURNS
SHE ASKED THE GODS TO KEEP HIM SAFE
UNTIL HE  ONCE AGAIN RETURNS

THE CHRISTMAS TREE'S A PINE
THE NEEDLES DRIED AND WORN
SHE KEPT IT UP FOR HIM TO SEE
BEFORE SHE FELT THE STORM

IN MISTS OF WINTRY CHILL
AND FROSTY WINDOWPANES
A CHRISTMAS TREE GLOWS FAITHFULLY
AMIDST THE WINDS OF CHANGE

THE VIOLET CURTAIN OF EVENING FALLS...
ASLEEP, SHE HOLDS THE PILLOW NEAR
'ROUND MIDNIGHT SHE HEARS THE DOOR
SHE KNOWS THAT HE IS HERE

HER HEART'S A MYSTERY
FULFILLED BY PROMISES IN HIS EYES
HIS HEART IS WITH HER NOW
HE'LL GIVE HIS WARM SURPRISE

IN MISTS OF WINTRY CHILL
AND FROSTY WINDOWPANES
A CHRISTMAS TREE GLOWS FAITHFULLY
AMIDST THE WINDS OF CHANGE.
