"A STRANGER IN MY OWN HOME TOWN"
From Fer's Collection of Songs
SUSAN'S POETRY IN MOTION INDEX
'Stranger In My Own Home Town" is sung by Fer from Holland. Fer does great on the blues as well as his Elvis songs. He lives in Rotterdam, Holland.
My poem this evening is about a love where two people are never strangers and about how that comes about....when one seems to be a stranger, yet is really not.If it sounds complicated..well I am complicated sometimes.
"A STRANGER WOULD NEVER KNOW"
From the poetry collection of Susan Jane Kahon
A stranger would never know
The things about you that I've known
I've always been there with you
When you thought you were alone

If the time may come
And I have to reflect the past
I've been no stranger to you
This love was meant to last

In the area of my town
Just point in my direction
A stranger wouldn't know the way..
The path to my reflection

In your arms I've known
What no stranger ever could
I've loved you from the start
Like you always knew I would

A stranger wouldn't bother
To take away your cares
No strangers are we to each other
Look at all the love we've shared

Now, looking towards the future
As my broken heart still mends
You're part of every part of me
And our love will never end

So if you think we're strangers
Please look closely at my heart
There's music playing there for you
And a love with a brand new start

If you're ever filled with teardrops
And wonder what youre living for
Turn your face toward me and you will find
I'm not a stranger, any more
