"Love Came From a Block of Ice" |
From The Poetry collection of Susan Kahon..This is my freeform thought..not really a structured poem, but my random thoughts on how love came from elements... |
Surviving in love, is only keeping the true desire of wanting each other If one person finds the other's inner part It shall be kept...or all will be lost, like winter's early frost. But accepting one's inner love, a force that cannot be surpassed Ensures a love, that forever will be sure to last... Or someone's tears will surely begin to fall, and then we will lose all... To hold onto it is like holding Ice That falls and melts, there is no coming or going back.. All feelings must be felt, because that love is forever And the melting Ice held in the hand Will once again take form and sculpture, And spread our love across the land That piece of Ice melts and reforms into particles of icy snow... Falling across the mid plains, to the South Because it's the only place to go And we, as lovers, watch and catch the flakes Crisp and cool in our warm hands And watch our love melt into our flesh and become diamonds in our wedding bands Diamonds, made from ice crystals Gold, coming from our hearts...,we merge our hands together No longer apart..for we are joined by the elements, of Ice, and wind and earth and fire A glacier...sealing our fate, keeping our bodies frozen together..forever...
