"Many Miles Are Between Us" |
From The Poetry collection of Susan Jane Kahon |
Hustle and bustle...hurry, and run... Trying to keep promises that we tried to make Looking for presents to bring us some fun Just for you..and for old time's sake There's too many miles between us now But we can always send each other good cheer But we can dream of sugarplums dancing in air And remember the gifts we were given this year Snowflakes falling in the Northwoods Leaves are crisp, as I walk on the ground Deer tracks to follow in forests so deep Signs of old man winter..are coming around It may be cold, and flakes are falling But let the snow fall..and let the wind blow Memories of you will keep me so warm And through it all, tears of joy will flow Even though I can't be with you this Christmas I know that courage will bind us in time So if I'm not there in body, my Darling I'm there in my spirit and mind Oh, and Christmas bells will ring in my heart.. And I'll forget any personal pain For you'll be deep in my heart, this Christmas Until..someday..we'll be together, again Merry Christmas!!! May God Bless this winter and this Christmas season..for all. written by Susan Jane Kahon November 14 2002 3:12pm ICU!!!! Recovered: Oct. 15th, 2023 Some Links & Counters may no longer be Active! |
