Sung By Engelbert |
Susan's Poetry In Motion |
Engelbert Humperdinck, birth name Arnold George Dorsey was actually born on May 2, 1936 in India. I believe his father was in the British Armed Forces.. The family was originally from Leicester, England. Young Engelbert played the saxophone, and then started singing in pubs later on, to support his own family. Engelbert is multi- talented, doing many impressions of stars, in addition to his performing still, many months each year. He still actively tours. I have done many write ups on Engelbert, and I have met him personally... prior to the death of a personal shared friend, Werner Oestreich, from East Berlin..Germany. Werner was Engelbert's close friend and personal valet for many years, until his death from a car highjacking. Engelbert has been married for many years to his beautiful wife Pat (Patricia) and has four children..Scott, Louise, Jason and Bradley.I hope you enjoy this old classic sent to me by a cherished friend..It is a beautiful love song, and a new personal favorite. Please support Engelbert by purchasing his cds, and sit back and visually and musically enjoy this page for tonight. Thanks Mark for the award ..(Meoogie's)...and thanks to Nuts and RC for the award from Ultimate sites..They are appreciated, and thank you to all my supporters and followers. God Bless you. |
"Ways Of the Night" |
From The Poetry Collection of Susan Jane Kahon |
Within my slumber and silent nocturnal bliss From my imagination, I pull images of your kiss Between life and death I hang in suspended flight Knowing you are with me, in the shadows of the night Am I a child of sensual, tortured dreams of you? Dreams that infuse my soul with memories, so true.. My lonely heart and soul demands your touch You know I love you..oh, so very much!!!! Sometimes the path of love seems long and dark Yet in celestial stars, I see a flaming spark A spark of life and love like blazing fire... Comprehensions of a wanton,.. wild desire.. There is no direction to my strong and mysterious love I know it exists in God's heavenly warmth, above He directed me to you... to distance hell... He knew your angelic ways, so very well.... Whisper to me now, of love's sweet happenings Whisper your words of love, while angels sing.. Then beckon me to you, with hope anew.. Beckon me to come...and I will love, and cherish you... |
