"I Know Who You Are" |
From The Poetry collection of Susan Jane Kahon |
I know who you are, you're the best that I know And you linger all over the place... I know your smile, and I'd walk a mile To touch your sweet, loving face... I feel your arms, holding me tight.. I feel your soft breath on my cheek.. And all of you...seems to become.. The essence of comfort, I seek.. Do you know me, like I know you? Do shivers run all down your spine? And the words, that you say, in your own way.. Do you know that it makes my heart shine? Any love from the past, leaves my mind now.. As morning turns on its sweet light For darkness of night, is turning to day And all of our troubles, take flight Please take the time, and know me complete... For I am so complex in my ways.... Please know me well, and love me so deep That you'll remain for the rest of my days Memories of you, now fill my soul.. How can I forget what we've been through But nothing on earth can take away All this love, that my heart holds...for you |
