"The Meaning of Christmas"
From The Poetry Collection of Susan Jane Kahon
What sweeter music can we bring..
Than a Christmas song for us all to sing
Praise the guitarists, praise the singers
As they play their instruments with frosty fingers

Transforming dullness into joy
Watch the wandering little minstrel boy...
He turns December into May
And brightens up this wintry day

On the street, the choir is softly singing
And Salvation Army bells are ringing
You and I ,we're hand in hand
Listening to the glorious Christmas band

Underneath the snow, deep beneath
Are the holly and the ivy wreaths
We do Him honor, Christ the King
It's all for him, this revering...

Christ brought us love, with his sweet birth
And with it, gave us all self-worth..
Each Christmas day..we know He's ours
He made the snowflakes, sun and flowers

We join now, in this celebration
Which brings together, all the nations
We welcome Him..we do our part
To spread the joy, within our hearts

A white Christmas we have, on the ground...
We'll both rejoice, for we have found
True love within our hearts, this season
God gave us His Son..That is the reason

Between twinkling stars, and rustling leaves..
A candle glows for those who believe..
God's reflection's there..for us to know
In each crystal flake of glistening snow.
