"Tonight" |
From The Poetry Collection Of Susan Jane Kahon |
My burning heart will play it's game of hide and seek And I will sleep tonight, beneath night's starry keep With only you tucked deep inside of me For no one else stars in my fantasy.. As all the shadows dance along the wall I watch and stare and wait for night to fall Then when darkness comes, it's time for us to share The earth, the sky, the wind, and mellow air I love you so, and rest here in your arms As we are blessed with Nature's peaceful charms A home within your heart's a joyful scene As songbirds sing to penetrate our dream I see you often, in the beauty of this earthly land It's then that I reach out and touch your hand In times when life decrees that we're apart I see in nature's glow, the reflections of your heart And as the sky disappears within her wings of blue It's then, my darling I call out for you Your love glows bright within the mist that lies When day turns into night, giving up it's ghostly cries In our world, nothing's ever left unkissed I protect you from the shadows, yet among them I exist If the world falls down tomorrow, there won't be any pain For we regenerate..and will always, love again..
