Nightime falls and you're asleep That's when my feelings run so deep A distant thunder, in the air Yet love electrifies, everywhere The grass will grow after the rain And love will grow, once more again For I can't forget your eyes of blue And I can't forget my love for you Out on the horizon, dark clouds roam They know that I stand here alone A sliver of blue between the trees Sometimes storms do come peacefully Soon rain will come, so warm and sweet Soaking the ground beneath my feet It's then I feel the depth of love As clouds burst open, from above Let the rains cleanse my wanting soul And make our love, all new and whole And sweep the meadows where we laid In love's embrace now, we will stay Until the soft rainbow's colors flee A distant thunder.. deep in me... Remembers all the love we hold Inside our loving hearts of gold..
