Inducted into the Hall Of Fame-1973 |
Donald Eugene Gibson passed away Monday...in Nashville.. of natural causes. He was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 1973. His former occupations were: textile mill worker, baby diaper deliverer, dish washer, soda jerk, delivery truck driver.and jukebox maintenance man. He wrote this beautiful song, "I Can't Stop Loving You", and he must have been in love when he wrote it, because he sure affected me by this song.in his own words.."My songs are simple, and just about all of them are about love. I write about people, not things. I never had a lot of education, and I don't feel easy with words. Most of the words to my songs are real simple. I just make them up..to put to the tune of the guitar I've come up with. It's the sounds of the guitar, I've always been interested in. It is idiotic to like only one thing, one way. People should listen to all types of music. They should be concerned with whether the song is any good...not what type of music it is." Yes Don...your song is simply beautiful. let us take a moment to sit back and really listen to this song written by a man the world no longer owns. Thank you to all my friends who helped me create this page. |
"Midnight Caller" |
From The Poetry Collection of Susan Jane Kahon |
You're the midnight caller in my night.. A total surrender to your eyes, as my eyes get lost in your own, and we glow, with the passion, of us... You're the fire in the candle I burn to light the path..to guide you to my fingertips, to taste your lips so much, that our kiss defies all honor... Skin to skin, the body rush sizzling against my flesh, spirited and romantic.. I hunger for your sweet sugar, and your touch is like the blind man seeking sight... With an aura of completeness, you call out to me, in the night, without a word, you take my love, and the intensity is the memory , I crave...for the rest of my life.. You're my Midnight caller..... written by Susan Jane Kahon November 20 ICYU Recovered: Oct. 7th, 2023 Some Links & Counters may no longer be Active! |
