"Twas Once Upon A Starry Night" |
From The Poetry Collection Of Susan Jane Kahon |
'Twas once upon a starry night When dreams were new, and love was fresh We lay upon the blanket of earth... And the moon unveiled our willing flesh I do not mind the rain, so much For the sun will kiss me with the dawn I just need you close by my side To hold, to hope, and dream upon The rapture of this boundless eve Brought warm thoughts to my aching heart Your love flew to me on opened wing To never keep our souls apart You warned me when you touched my lips You leaned, and stirred, and kissed me With sparks in your hair, and laughter too I knew that you had missed me You revealed your deepest wish to me And your eyes told me, to come away... To transcend to another place in time Where we shall both , forever play.. 'Twas once upon a starry night And over us, the moon did pass And all our love, shone silvery bright As we lay scattered on the bed of grass 'Twas a night of scorching love... 'Twas a night of sated bliss.... Remembering the burning in your touch Branding my memory, with your kiss.. written by Susan Jane Kahon August 22 2003 ICYU 3:!3pm Recovered: Sept. 28th, 2023 Some Links & Counters may no longer be Active! |
