"I Will Think Of You"
Sung By Daniel O Donnell
The song that started the ball rolling for Daniel O Donnell, was "My Donegal Shore." A guy named Johnny Mc Cauley wrote it. Big Tom, from Ireland recorded the song before Daniel did. It touched his heart, when a girl named Bridie Cahill sang it with no accompaniment. When Daniel recorded it, it was a slow burner, but it took off and shot his career into top gear. It was recorded in Big Tom's studio in Castleblaney, County Moneghan, Ireland on February 9, 1983.
Daniel grew up in poor circumstances, but he said he had a very happy childhood with many fond memories of that era. His sister Margaret (Margo) had a very large influence on his career. She is ten years older than Daniel and she started singing in a band when she was only twelve years old. When Daniel was about nine or so, he had the opportunity to get away for the weekends with his mother, to go and see his sister perform, and it was then Margo encouraged him to get up on stage and sing with her. Daniel O Donnell's rendition of tonight's song for this page is so sweet and so sensitive, I just had to do it.And it comes from my own heart, also.
Enjoy. Thanks Alice for top graphic.

"COME HOME TO ME"
From The Poetry Collection of Susan Jane Kahon
When the rain comes falling from the sky..
And the darkness makes your poor heart cry
And you feel that love has passed you by..
COME HOME TO ME

When there's no one there to dry your tears
And you fret about the passing years
And you need someone to calm your fears
COME HOME TO ME

You know I've never done you wrong..
And inside my heart, you're still my song
There's no doubt in my mind, where you belong
COME HOME TO ME

Don't you know there is no one but you...
Even though sometimes I've made you blue..
I want to make your every dream come true
COME HOME TO ME

You know you've seen me in my nakedness
And I always gave you peace and rest..
For you live within my softened breast
COME HOME TO ME

Come on Home...
