"The Ghost Of My Stranger" |
From the poetry collection of Susan J. Kahon |
The ghost of the stranger that visits me each night Stands two steps behind me,for you're always out of sight Oh how I long for you to take me by the hand And bring me home, to our precious promised land I am made of glass, You can see into my heart But please don't fear, what you find from the start It's just the shadow of the real me in your mind You're bound by my love, but you're certainly not blind A thousand conversations, connected that we share Every thought and every dream. always made you so aware Of the depth of my feeling..My deepest love for you How I long to tell you ..sweet things, that are true Stranger of mine, into your deep blue eyes I stare.. Looking for the seven wonders, that I am seeking there In your eyes I hear music, to dance to in the night For you're always there , my sweet stranger of delight Tomorrow brings, whatever it can It promises great love, to a woman and a man There's not any choice, that we really have to make We just have to embrace, all the love that we take Softly, in the morning light I see a distant truth We are allowed to offer love, our living proof The proof of lovers, who strangers are, no more Two strangers, who know.. love is worth waiting for.. written by Susan Jane Kahon Medford Wisconsin April 23 2003 ICYU 7:30pm Recovered: Sept. 23rd, 2023 Some Links & Counters may no longer be Active! |
