Sung By The Bellamy Brothers |
Susan's Poetry In Motion |
Although the Bellamy Brothers are the most successful duo in country music history.. they have never been favored by the critics. More than most acts of the late 70's and 80's, the Bellamy's pushed the borders of country music, adding strong elements of rock, reggae, and even rap...Howard and Davis Bellamy were raised in Florida. they played a variety of instruments in their childhood. Both earned college degrees in Florida.. They continue to enjoy great success until this day. Please enjoy, "The World's Greatest Lover"..by The Bellamy Brothers. |
"Your Portrait" |
From the poetry collection of Susan Jane Kahon |
I painted you, a wondrous thing.. I flew with you, on lover's wing.. My fancy gave you eyes of blue.. My colors, then, were always true.. I came to find, blue turned to red.. Whenever you came to my bed.. The color, passion that I'd seen Went from red, turned into green... The softness in your eyes I'd felt I painted when, you made me melt.. I wish that I could own you now.. More than my poor heart will allow... I love you, yet your passion hides.. It's painted there, way deep inside.. Let me paint your golden grace So I can ever, see your face... The greatest lover, I have known.. Your colors, not completely shown Yet I will love you 'till I die.. Your portrait lives, within my eyes... written by Susan Jane Kahon Medford Wisconsin ICYU September 2, 2003 Recovered: Sept. 17th, 2023 Some Links & Counters may no longer be Active! |
